    Employees are the true assets of any organization. An organization can achieve success because of the hard work that employees put into it. Therefore, an entrepreneur has to make sure that he/she hires the best talent and takes creative measures to retain it.
    When I started my own business, I was very nervous about the hiring process. Therefore, I contacted a renowned staffing agency to make sure that I only hire experienced and talented individuals. However, in a few months, I realized how hard it was to retain this talent. I had to revise my strategies and make my company’s goals clear to keep the employees onboard.
    From my own experience, I have learned that an entrepreneur should pay special attention to these 12 factors if he wants his business to keep thriving in the long run.

    Focus on the Leadership
    It is a common misconception that new candidates are only concerned with their salaries and career growth. They also want to know about their seniors and leaders. This is because they look up to these leaders and work towards incorporating their values. So, focus especially on your leadership so that you hire hardworking and committed individuals.

    Don’t Underestimate the Hiring Process
    Determine what kind of skills and experience do you want your employees to have before moving forward with the hiring process. Not doing so can push you into hiring the wrong talent. Also, the hiring process is quite expensive. So, make sure to get it right the first time.

    Focus on Employee Training
    Don’t just rely on an employee’s prior experience for a certain position. Give each employee proper training so that any confusion related to the work can be avoided and he/she can be prepared for difficult situations. Although this may take time, it will be very beneficial for your company in the long run.

    Create a Fun Workplace
    Making the workplace engaging and fun is the best way to retain your employees. Something as small as keeping a ping pong table at the office can keep the employees engaged. This will also help employees in strengthening work relationships which will be quite beneficial for your business.

    Keep your employees energized and focused on keeping attractive décor in your office. Paint the walls in blue or orange as they are proven to have a soothing effect on individuals. Also, make sure there is adequate lighting and comfortable chairs so that your employees may not lose focus.

If they don’t have any idea what the next few years in their career are going to look like, they’ll certainly begin looking at other options. So, despite how hard it may seem to do, develop clear career paths for your employees so that they are clear about their future and work hard towards reaching there.

    Make sure that your employees don’t get bored by doing the same tasks over and over. Assign them different tasks throughout the week so that they remain engaged. Take measures to put their diverse skills and experience to good use.

    Offer your employees flexibility in terms of workdays and work hours. Give them an early leave in case of an emergency.
