Caterpillar Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, inaugurates a new office in Bengaluru, Whitefield to expand its digital capabilities. Over last 53 years, Caterpillar has invested significantly in India, establishing 5 state-of the art manufacturing facilities and 2 high-tech research and development (R&D) centers which support 7000+ employees. The new office is designed to support the growing Cat Digital team, the tech arm of Caterpillar in driving forward its innovative goals. This young team of software and data engineers, data scientists, architects, product managers, developers and testers from India, are leveraging advanced digital infrastructure and IoT intelligence to create smarter data driven solutions, optimizing use and performance of heavy machinery.

The office has an Employee Experience Centre, collaborative workspace and is located in the heart of the tech community at Whitefield, Bangalore. The office also features a lab set-up for teams within the Cat Digital organization.

This new office space in Bangalore will house 30% of Cat Digital talent and the rest 70% will continue to work out of the Chennai office.
