As the top drivers of large companies’ health care costs have shifted and as employers continue to have concerns about such issues as affordability of health care and health equity, they will continue to invest strategically in their health and well-being offerings for the upcoming year, according to Business Group on Health’s 2023 Large Employers’ Health Care Strategy and Plan Design Survey.
A press conference offering a first look at the survey’s conclusions is set for 10 a.m.-11 a.m. ET, Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022. Registration is required. To register, please fill out the Zoom registration form. Once registration has been approved, you will receive a confirmation with your unique link to join the press conference.
During the online event, Ellen Kelsay, Business Group president and CEO, and Brenna Shebel, vice president, will highlight the results of the survey, including:
- The top drivers of employer health-related spending, including pharmacy costs – and how companies are responding;
- Employer concerns about the affordability of health care;
- The amplified role of health and well-being strategy in workforce management, as a result of the pandemic and other factors;
- The need to assess and refine virtual health care;
- The ongoing importance of health equity to employers; and
- The long-term effects of COVID-19 that have started to affect employers.
Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.
