On Tuesday, September 24th thousands of job seekers will descend upon the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford for the state’s largest free public career expo – Get Hired CT. Hosted by Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut, the event connects more than 100 businesses with more than 2,000 local job candidates who are seeking new opportunities.

On Tuesday, September 24th thousands of job seekers will descend upon the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford for the state’s largest free public career expo – Get Hired CT. Hosted by Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut, the event connects more than 100 businesses with more than 2,000 local job candidates who are seeking new opportunities.

“This event is a tremendous opportunity for employers to meet with eager and qualified applicants in one location for one day,” Vickie Volpano, President and CEO, Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut, said. “Get Hired CT is another example of our commitment to help strengthen Connecticut families through the power of work.”

Now in its fourth year, Get Hired CT attracts job seekers from across the state. In 2018, 44 percent of attendees had obtained an Associates Degree or higher. Forty-six percent were currently employed but seeking a new opportunity.
Employers can take advantage of an early bird discount on booths through August 15th. In addition to booth space on the expo floor, employers enjoy an exclusive hour-long networking session with their fellow recruiters, as well as free professional portrait photos, meals, and parking.
