The inaugural FuelHR conference, an Xref-led event will be hosted at the Toronto Region Board of Trade and provide attendees with the opportunity to discover the technology that could improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their HR function.
This hands-on event format is a first for the HR community of Toronto.
With the availability of HR technology at its peak, it can be difficult to navigate all the options and identify the right solutions to support business goals. This event will deliver the perfect balance of practical insight and celebration of the benefits innovation is bringing to the HR industry.
On the evening, the hosting providers will deliver:
- individual speed pitches about their platforms
- four 20-minute deep dive demos
After enjoying the speed pitches, attendees will choose which four providers they want to hear more from and use the demo sessions to understand the value the solution could bring to their workplace.
The evening’s formalities will be followed by an opportunity for attendees and hosts to network, catch up and ask any further questions that might inform a future investment decision.

Lee-Martin Seymour, Xref co-founder and CEO, said “We’re excited to bring this event format, which was a huge success at our RecTech event in Australia last year, to the Toronto market. When today’s professionals are looking for technology solutions, they simply need to know what it is, how it works and what it will do to help their business. But all too often, buyers get caught up in a convoluted sales process and are left none the wiser.
B2B customers now want the purchasing ease and convenience they enjoy in their personal lives. They also want to be able to build the tech stack that works for them, with individual platforms that will overcome the niche challenges they are faced with in each area of the HR function. This event aims to knock down the barriers these buyers often face and bring an open, honest and practical approach to showcasing great HR technology.”
