There are many factors which help in increasing productivity. Some factors may be similar even for different category/genre but some factors may vary depending on the kind of scenario.
One thing for sure is everyone needs to be on the same page of the same book [metaphorically speaking] provided the task is being executed by a group of individuals.
One factor which usually helps individual get the desired result almost every-time is, the way he/she looks at a scenario.
Meaning it differs as to whether the individual looks at the glass filled with water as, half-glass full with water or half-glass empty with water.
If an individual prefers the first option, then it doesn’t matter what age he/she may have, the whole task would go smoothly. But if second option is chosen then it doesn’t matter whether you are in age group of 10-17, 18-30, 31-40, 41-50 or 50 and above, you will find every scenario/task whether small or big to be very complicated and almost impossible to finish with accuracy.
One-liner for so many words mentioned above could be, “It all comes down to the mindset of an individual”.
Lets take different phases of life of an individual to analyse similarities and differences of how the same individual changes his/her process for completing the task and simultaneously trying to increase productivity as well.
While you as an individual go to school, most of the time, the highest priority usually is to be an all-rounder, that is to excel academically and in extra-curricular activities as well.
In college, the number of tasks/missions increases if compared with the schooling days. In short, you as an individual will be expected to be in the top holistically academics, extra-curricular activities, and getting a job as well].
When you enter into the corporate sector, the expectations get a little different but indirectly gets increased. Besides making your superior and clients happy and satisfied with your work, you also need to socialize in such a manner that you are well-respected within your firm, in your family and in friends circle also. After some time, you may eventually get married and have children. Now besides doing all the things which have been mentioned above, you will also need to make your bride/groom [husband/wife] and their family members happy too. After having children, some more responsibilities will get added [their education, healthcare financial security etc]. After they become adults, you start to think about settling-them-down [their marriage].
The roles and responsibilities for an individual increases with age, time and experience. So if you tend to be inclined more towards pessimistic mindset, you might end up having a lot of break-downs[physical, mental] while trying to resolve any scenario. But if you tend to have sought of optimistic mindset alongside fully realizing the reality as well, you would tend to be able to do handle every scenario with ease.
Not so surprisingly, individuals with Western Culture are slowly and steadily realizing, acknowledging and using various teachings mentioned in Eastern Cultural scripts like Ramayana, The Mahabharata, Buddhism etc.
Various concepts which they [western cultured people] used to get fame and become powerful had there source-code in Eastern Cultures. Some of them include,
- Living in the moment.
- Doing regular exercise [physical, mental, spiritual].
- Eating a well-balanced diet.
- Having a proper/deep sleep.
- Doing one task at a time.
- Going to sleep early [by 10 pm or 10:30 pm].
- Eating dinner 2 to 3 hours before going to sleep.

- Treating your colleague/s as if they were your family member
- Focusing more on the process than on result.
