TD Madison, a leading provider of executive recruitment and training services to the cable and broadband industry, has been engaged by the City of Fort Collins, Colorado to provide executive search and placement for several leadership roles in the city’s ambitious new municipal broadband network.
TD Madison will identify candidates for four key roles: Director of Broadband, Broadband Network Engineer, Broadband Marketing Manager, and Outside Plant Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified executives to take a formative role in the management of a new ISP tasked with offering excellent customer service and world-beating connectivity to the residents and businesses of Fort Collins.
Fort Collins intends to take control of broadband provision within the city by building its own fiber infrastructure to provide broadband as a utility to homes and businesses. Construction of the network, which is anticipated to cost in the region of $150 million, will begin in 2018, with the first services to be delivered in 2019.
With three decades of experience as a provider of executive recruitment, technical training, and staff augmentation to the cable and broadband industry, TD Madison is the ideal choice of recruitment partner for cities and towns seeking to take control of the provision of wired and wireless broadband connectivity to consumers and businesses.
“We’re excited to be working with the City of Fort Collins to discover and assess the leaders who will shape the future of connectivity, communication, and digital services in the city," commented Dean Madison, CEO of TD Madison. “This is an ambitious project, and finding leaders with the right expertise and experience is key to its success."
Fort Collins will deploy a Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), connecting homes and businesses directly to the fiber network rather than relying on existing copper cables. The network will deliver bandwidths of 1 Gbps to each premise, with additional services and dedicated connections available to businesses.
Fort Collins will build a network that prioritizes the experience of its users, with customer service, reliability, competitive pricing, net neutrality, and privacy as guiding principles.
