    Church’s Chicken , the global quick-service restaurant chain, participated in the seventh annual Atlanta Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) Leadership Summit. The event took place Wed., Oct. 25 at the St.Regis hotel. Church’s CEO Joe Christina, and CHRO Ed Brett were invited by event organizers to give the summit’s mid-day keynote, “Engagement & Culture – A CEO’s Winning Combo.” The 30 minute presentation centered on the progressive, people-focused changes which have taken place at the brand since Christina came into the role in 2016,including a number of value-focused activities and initiatives.

    “I firmly believe that at the heart of any organization, are its people,” said Christina. “We’re developing winning teams with a focus on the future by making sure everyone is aligned and embraces our mission, vision, and purpose. When we understand what we represent, we’re better able to deliver great chicken experiences guests love.”

    “Since his first day as CEO, Joe understood the important role the HR function can have for a company, and challenged our department to discover our common voice,” said Ed Brett. “Once we defined a unified vision of who we are, we were able to implement big changes that add toward our vision of becoming the global franchisor of choice.”
