Human interactions should come first over technology in employers hiring processes. This Randstad study finds that candidates are becoming frustrated with how much of the hiring process is automated and impersonal.
Employers should be concerned with the lack of personal interactions they are using for their when searching for talent. As much as technology makes our lives easier, employers must maintain a human connection and keep the appropriate balance between the two. Using people for what they do best and technology for what it can do best is the key to an effective and efficient hiring process.
“The findings reinforce what we’ve believed for quite some time, that successful talent acquisition lies at the intersection between technology and human touch,” said Linda Galipeau, CEO Randstad North America. “By leveraging emerging technologies, we are able to deliver on our clients’ and candidates’ expectations in a predominately digital world, but with more freedom to focus on the human connection. If done correctly, the right combination of personal interaction with the power of today’s intelligent machines can create an experience that is inherently more human.”
