Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Denise Trani-Morris has joined the firm as a Principal. Ms. Trani-Morris, who joins Jackson Lewis from Sedgwick, LLP, brings over two decades of experience representing employers in all facets of workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counsel.

“A dynamic and accomplished attorney, Denise is known throughout the region as a creative and pragmatic counselor.  We are thrilled to have her join our San Francisco office, where her depth of knowledge and experience in labor and employment law will add immediate value to our team,” said San Francisco Office Managing Principal Fraser A. Ms. Trani-Morris’s practice includes employment litigation defense with an emphasis on wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and wage and hour actions. She has experience in state and federal court, including trying jury and court trials to verdict, in addition to arbitrations and mediations. Her administrative experience includes DFEH, EEOC, EDD, Labor Commission and California Workers Compensation Appeals Board Matters.

Ms. Trani-Morris provides preventive advice and counsel to national clients on issues such as leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, terminations, workforce restructuring activities, investigations, discipline, wage and hour and related matters. She regularly drafts employee handbooks and related employment agreements, including commission plans and executive agreements. Ms. Trani-Morris also develops and provides training to clients on a variety of employment law topics, including internal investigations and respect in the workplace.

Ms. Trani-Morris is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association. She received her B.A. from San Diego State University and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco’s School of Law, where she continues to actively participate through mentoring and diversity events.
