Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing welcomes Timothy Irons, Nick Kacprowski, and Zachary DiIonno
Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing (AHFI) is pleased to announce that Timothy H. Irons, Nickolas A. Kacprowski and Zachary M. DiIonno have joined the firm.
Timothy H. Irons joins the firm as an attorney of counsel. Irons is a commercial litigator with a focus on land use and environmental litigation. Before joining AHFI, he was a shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP, in Century City, California, representing private developers, businesses, special districts and local government in entitlement proceedings and litigation involving county, state and federal land use and environmental law. Prior to that, Irons was an income partner with Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP, in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Hawai`i, Irons holds a J.D. with distinction from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of
California, Davis.
Nick Kacprowski joins the firm as an attorney of counsel. Kacprowski is a commercial litigator whose practice encompasses antitrust, bankruptcy, business torts, class actions, civil rights, contract disputes, insurance and securities. He has represented clients in courts around the country in more than 10 different states. Kacprowski began his legal career in Honolulu, clerking for Judge Helen Gillmor, Former Chief Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawai`i. Before joining AHFI, he was a partner at the San Francisco office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He earned his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, and his B.A. cum laude in History and Economics from Northwestern University.
Zachary M. DiIonno joins the firm as an associate, practicing in the area of commercial litigation. Prior to joining AHFI he was a law clerk for Hawai`i Supreme Court Justice Richard W. Pollack, a clerk extern for Hawai`i Supreme Court Justice Sabrina McKenna, and an extern at the Hawai`i Appleseed Center for Law and Economic Justice. His civic leadership experience includes co-founding the not-for-profit Parents for Public Schools Hawai`i, and serving as vice chairman and treasurer of the Manoa Neighborhood Board. DiIonno earned his J.D. and Native Hawaiian Law Certificate from the William S. Richardson School of Law, where he served as president of the Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL) and as a member of the Native American Moot Court team (NAMC).  Prior to law school, DiIonno served as a middle school special education teacher at Ilima Intermediate in Ewa Beach through Teach For America. He holds a Master of Education from the University of Hawai`i, and a B.A. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University.
