    ComPsych® Corp. Announces 2014 Health at Work(SM) Award Winners: City of Houston, MITRE, Hyatt Regency and Sterling-Rice Group


    CHICAGO – Sept. 29, 2014 – ComPsych announced today the Gold winners of its 10th-annual Health at Work Award: City of Houston, The MITRE Corporation, Hyatt Regency Crystal City and Sterling-Rice Group. Winners were selected based on their wellness program’s comprehensiveness, delivery, promotion, participation rates and results achieved. ComPsych Corporation is the world’s largest provider of employee assistance programs and is the pioneer and worldwide leader of fully integrated EAP, behavioral health, wellness, work-life, HR, FMLA and absence management services under its GuidanceResources brand.

    Within four categories based on size, the following organizations were recognized:

    Hyatt Regency Crystal City / 101 – 2,500 employees
    Sterling-Rice Group / Less than 100 employees

    Highlights from this year’s award-winning wellness programs include:

    •       Culinary strategists who taught cleanse classes
    •       Hula hoop and jumprope contests
    •       Added outdoor space for employees to enjoy healthy lunches as well as gardening space
    •       Walking and standing meetings
    •       Self-defense classes
    •       Free skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing days
    •       Company-provided bikes for employee use during work hours
    •       Peer support groups for employees with alcohol/substance abuse issues

    The Health at Work Awards are sponsored by ComPsych, provider of HealthyGuidance wellness programs.
