Concorde's North Hollywood Campus is Recognized for Their Outstanding Contributions in Community Service
North Hollywood, CA --
Concorde Career College North Hollywood is honored to have been chosen to receive the 2014 Excellence in Community Service Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
Every year, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges recognizes community members who make outstanding contributions in their local community through service initiatives. Each nominee is evaluated for the scope and impact of the community service and the connections between the educational programs and the students’ opportunity to learn from the experience.
Concorde’s North Hollywood campus has on-going community initiatives year round that include numerous health fairs, volunteer efforts at continuous-care nursing homes and dental offices, mobile services for the needy, and an annual Easter basket event. This year they added a partnership with EduLife and successfully trained almost 20,000 people in CPR in just one day.
North Hollywood’s commitment to the community is led by Carmen Bowen, MBA. Carmen has served as the Campus President for nine years and also serves on the Universal City North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Executive Committee as the 2015 President Elect. Carmen will represent the campus at the ACCSC’s yearly Professional Development Conference where she will accept the award on behalf of the faculty and students.
“Concorde North Hollywood is so honored to be selected to receive this award,” said Carmen Bowen. “I’m excited that we have been recognized for all the hard work we do as a campus in giving back to our area communities. This award makes it all worth it.”
