As reported, the new DOL FMLA Branch Chief, Helen Applewhaite (Chief) stated that 2014 is a pivotal year for FMLA enforcement. During an FMLA/ADA compliance conference held recently, focus was on the DOL’s renewed importance on conducting compliance investigations with an emphasis on FMLA on-site visits to ensure employer compliance with the law.
