Big data is increasingly making the list as a key trend. While it’s a hot topic, most companies have not been successful leveraging data for predictive analysis.
A recent APQC survey on HR trends found that many organizations are not making HR big data a top priority in 2014. Yet, research from consulting company ScottMadden suggests that ignoring HR big data may be a big HR mistake.
In fact, according to ScottMadden, most organizations are still focused on siloed, historic data and on examining trends—as opposed to focusing on forward-looking analytics. However, especially for corporate and shared services functions, analytics will be a key differentiator and important contributor to an organization’s strategy.
APQC and ScottMadden held a webinar on Thursday March 6, 2014. A recording of the webinar and a copy of the slide deck can be downloaded for free.
