Has a job interviewer ever asked you for your Twitter password, or request access to your Facebook account?
Well, no more. Five states recently passed laws forbidding employers from asking for private information about social media activities, from both employees and job candidates. The states are Maryland, California, Illinois, Delaware, and New Jersey.
The laws were put in effect to protect workers from having their bosses intrude into their off-duty conduct.
Tell us what you think! Do you agree with this new law? Do you think it should extend to all states? Do share your thoughts.
