From 5 Dec 2011, the EU-27 are obliged to adapt their national laws to comply with “The Agency Workers Directive (AWD)”.
Under the directive, ‘equal treatment’ applies to basic working and employment conditions of temporaries, such as pay and working time—and this may have the effect of increasing pay for temporary workers, particularly in markets without pay parity laws.
So, this was the right time for us to compile wage trend data in Europe, and to compare country and specific industry trends.
