      Derek, although this article is short I agree completely with its ideal. Unfortunately, for those of us experienced in technical project management of systems it is hard, often impossible to switch on systems globally at the same time. Technical issues can be overcome with good communication & I often find getting a good silo site up & running first makes a great reference point for other parts of the business who come on line later. Tech points aside its still a good article.

      Thanks, Shane. Yes, too often global launch is difficult. However, our company does it every time, successfully. Tens of thousands of employees, hundreds of locations, dozens of countries, multiple languages. If you work with a vendor who knows what they're doing, it's easy. Global launch also ensures you're not making some employees feel like second class citizens.
