Taleo buys compensation planning business Worldwide Compensation for up to $16 million and forms partnership with Learn.com ... Taleo now offers Recruiting, Performance, Compensation and Learning. .... Only HRSmart and Kenexa have that large of a platform / footprint. 16M was a steal for Taleo but much needed to make thier performance management product  more competitive . Lots of integration ahead but the new version of thier software released at their user conference was suppose to be the biggest release ever.

Solid performer in this economy which is nice to see. Kenexa is being punished for their strong foothold in the staffing space and also thier declne in RPO revenue which is expected in this economy. The RightThings's acquisition of CapitalH just solidifies thier leadership position in the RPO space even further.

I think this is just the start of mergers acquistions in this crowded , fragmented space. Should be an interesting year.
Aparently Mercer is making a large announcement at HR Tech ? Are they getting into the software game ?
