On my blog I recently dealt with the results of the Hudson Report for the 1st QTR 2008. This has a similar format to most surveys with specific information about changes in salaries, turnover and retention rates. The focus was on the Asia Pacific region and the data was very informative.
Another way of approaching this ie. getting better informed, would be to actually participate in a survey, as opposed to reading one. Then you would get to share in the results. Many of these opportunities are available to you if you are working for a big international company because the survey companies want your data. But for smaller companies opportunities are a little more scarce, and a little more pricey.
So I want to put you on to a free survey for Recruiters of all shapes and affiliations. It focuses on the processes and procedures that are being used by your competitors - Recruiting Depts, HR Depts, and 3rd party recruiters.
The survey is called Global Recruiting Trends 2008. It’s open to recruiters from any country and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
The focus is on how people are doing their recruiting, not the raw date on successes or failures. You should learn more about the processes, procedures and technologies that are currently in use by your competitors just by looking at the questions in the survey, never mind the results.
There are other bonuses too. Participating companies will receive a free copy of the Executive Summary of the report, plus the complete report containing all of the graphs, data, and analysis, for just US$50. All responses are confidential and all they ask you for is a valid email address.
Go. Participate. Enjoy.
