Everyone loves a win-win situation.  Kenexa and Springboard Forward have recently developed a partnership that creates a win/win all around.  The partnership focuses on measuring the impact of Springboard´s programs on employee engagement and company profitability.   The details of the press release can be found on the Kenexa website at:  http://www.kenexa.com/press3t.html

The partnership between the two organizations will involve a demonstration project with a national retailer.   Using Kenexa´s solutions, the project will measure the impact of Springboard´s programs, determining their impact on employee engagement, business performance and profitability.  

The mission of Springboard Forward is as follows:  "Springboard Forward partners with employers and community-based organizations to improve job performance and promote upward mobility for the low-wage workforce." http://www.springboardforward.org/about.html   Therefore, the benefits of this collaboration can be tremendous and I applaud the work on behalf of both organizations.   As a result of this collaboration, Springboard Forward will gain valuable information that may be used to 1) improve their programs and continue to provide valuable services to employees  2) demonstrate the value of their programs to interested business 3) continue to provide value to business by reducing turnover and helping develop employees.

According to Springboard Forward, "Over 50% of our nation´s poor are actually working full-time, but still living in poverty" with many of these people being single parents.  Proving opportunities for growth and development for these individuals not only benefits the individual, but also his/her entire family and society in general. 

With the pending skill shortage, we all need to focus our efforts on retention and developing current employees.  Employees themselves of course want opportunity and challenge.  This collaboration will help further these end goals. I hope to see more "win/win" collaborations like this in the future.
