Forca Sindical, Brazil's second largest confederation of labor unions, has taken on the role of job trainer in a big way, according to Thierry Ogier's "Help Found" appearing in the April 2000 issue of Latin Trade.  The country's low skilled work force has swamped the union's job centers, which deliver good training in a number of fields, the most popular being computing, sales, and telecommunications. English instruction also is available. Over 60,000 companies utilize the union''s five job centers to find new employees. 

Multinational companies, such as Spain's Telefonica, also are partnering with the centers to recruit staff. In 1999 the Sao Paolo center worked with some 1,000,000 workers, and issued 150,000 training certificates.
