AI Simulations Improve HR Coaching

Recently, I entered the following prompt in Chat-GPT: "Act as if you are an employee being terminated for not meeting a sales quota. What questions will you ask at a termination meeting?
I used the AI-generated responses to facilitate a practice discussion with my client. When faced with one of the same questions in a real termination meeting, the client's well-prepared response made a significant positive impact on the meeting's tone and flow. These role-play exercises not only boost confidence but also equip clients with essential skills to navigate HR challenges effectively. How could simulated scenarios enhance your HR strategy?

Personality Insights Inform Recruitment Strategy

Let me tell you about this fantastic tool we implemented in our HR processes called “Personality Insights.” It is a technology that analyzes written text to understand personalities. We integrated it into our recruitment process. Instead of relying solely on resumes and interviews, we asked candidates to write short essays about themselves.

Personality Insights then dissected these essays to reveal traits, values, and communication styles. This helped us match candidates not just based on skills but also on cultural fit and team dynamics.

It transformed our hiring game, ensuring we brought in people who not only had the right skills but also aligned with our company's culture and values. This tech innovation really made our HR processes more strategic, efficient, and, most importantly, human-centered.

Workday is our HRIS platform. We recently implemented the year-end performance management functionality. We eliminated spreadsheets, emails, and countless meetings by utilizing our system. We saved countless hours while affording greater access for managers and streamlining the process for all employees. Thousands of staff hours were saved!

Online Onboarding Vital During Pandemic

Having an online onboarding platform, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently thereafter, has been vital for our organization. Since that time, when the way we work has changed for many of us and continues to change with continual leaps in technological advancements, the way to attract and retain top talent has significantly shifted as well.

As such, the onboarding process not only serves as a mechanism to meet certain legal requirements but also plays a huge role in a new hire's initial experience when being oriented into an organization. Utilizing an online onboarding platform has been a useful tool for us in enhancing that experience. It has made the process user-friendly and comprehensive for the employee while keeping the information centralized and processed efficiently by our HR team.

Calendly Simplifies Interview Scheduling

We have several different interviewers, all with packed schedules and regular responsibilities. There are one-on-one formats for some roles, and there are group interview formats for others. Whatever the situation, scheduling is very hard. We use individual and group Calendly links to allow candidates to select open times on the calendar. The process would be unbearable without Calendly or a similar tool.
