The global COVID-19 pandemic is impacting people working in all industries and sectors. This crisis is creating a huge amount of fear and anxiety. In times of rapid upheaval and uncertainty, continuous access to learning and development should be considered as a basic human right.



In Distance Learning Without Distance, Linda Jingfang Cai, the Global Head of Learning and Talent Development at Aon, talks about their self-made digital learning platform that is accessed by an estimated 30,000 employees around the world to accelerate their career progression. This article, featured as the cover article this month, also sheds light upon how a crisis such as a global pandemic, learning brings an open mindset that will facilitate agility.

While you may be tempted to postpone training in the face of everything happening today, don’t. If certain training and meetings were already scheduled and on the calendar, keep them there. Maintaining your regular schedule gives employees a sense of normalcy that they may need right now.
