Elastic deployed ServiceNow about a year and a half ago, improving the usefulness of the HRIS in the process. In parallel, later, Elastic developed a homegrown ChatGPT-style, generative AI, large language model to help further enhance responsiveness to employees' queries about their employment (and other things). Having laid all this important groundwork, Elastic is in the enviable position of having options as to where to go next: expand its deployment of ServiceNow or, moving forward, begin to lean more on the homegrown AI LLM for ESS.
