    POLICY - Sick Days

     

    POLICY NUMBER- [Insert Number]

    EFFECTIVE DATE - [Insert Date]

    PERTAINS TO - All Full Time Employees

     

    Upon completion of [insert length of time] service all regular full time employees will be eligible to a maximum of [insert number of days] sick days.  Sick day pay will be based on the average [enter hours] workday.  Any sick time taken over and above the [enter number of days] will be unpaid.  At the end of the calendar year any unused sick time will be paid out to employees at [enter percentage].  Sick time cannot be carried over into the following year.

     

    Management reserves the right to request a doctor´s note from an employee verifying that the absence was due to illness.   Any employee found to be abusing the sick time policy will be disciplined up to and including dismissal.
