The Covid-19 pandemic has altered the mindset of millions of workers. People are no longer interested in working where they feel unsafe, unhappy, and undervalued. Top company perks like quarterly bonuses, fat salaries and other seemingly tempting incentives won’t retain talent long-term. Instead, companies must focus on creating an inclusive, equitable, and diverse (IE&D) environment that encourages talent to stay.
Diversity, equity & inclusion can no longer simply be buzzwords for today’s workplace. Assigning an HR professional, the task of DE&I without providing the necessary time, tools, resources, or authority to enact change won’t generate real results. Only by being intentional about your DE&I program and with the help of necessary tools, and building connections, you can build a better and more welcoming workplace for all.

To drive impact, inclusion, equity and diversity must permeate every part of your business and reach every person in every role, says Nikki Wilson in her article, IE&D Key To Retaining Talent During Ongoing Great Resignation.
