Here’s a question – as an employer, what do you expect to gain from employee interviews? If it’s a hiring interview, the answer is fairly simple – you’re looking to make sure the candidate’s skill set matches the job description, and his or her personality matches your company culture. How about an exit interview? You’re most likely looking to find out the reasons the employee is leaving, and if it’s someone you hate to lose, possibly rectify these reasons so as to not lose any more good employees

Recruiting the right people is difficult in a market where many important commercial, technical and management skills are in short supply. Keeping employees once you’ve recruited them can be even harder.Every time you lose a good employee, it costs you money because you’ll need to recruit and train someone to replace him or her. It disrupts continuity in your business, can hurt customer relationships, slows you down, and results in you losing a small piece of your corporate memory.
