I hate to say this but Unconscious Bias still looms large in recruitment, and certain names can be the difference between being considered for a position or NOT. For example, women in certain male dominated industries, fare better when they have masculine sounding names or "Gender" neutral names and candidates with Anglo Saxon, easy to pronounce and common names are at an advantage.
