The unemployment rate as of September 2019 stood at 3.7%, a mark that some economists deem “full employment.” This period brings new pressures on organizations looking to grow and expand. Job openings are at historically high levels.
In my previous article, I shared five ideas for speeding up your hiring process that you can try for your organization right away—no special technology required. While those foundational principles are important, you can only optimize so much without the right applicant tracking system.
As a recruiter, I see the challenges that more and more companies are having when they try to fill their open positions. Part of this challenge is that recruiting shouldn't be about merely filling positions. It's a process. It's creating a mission that people believe in and an environment they want to work in.
