    The HR industry is increasingly turning to artificial intelligence (AI) to solve talent acquisition problems. From automating recruitment tasks to interviewing applicants to creating more efficient recruitment processes, AI is playing an expanded role in every area of recruitment.

    This month we bring you a themed edition, on AI in Recruitment, which also includes the HR Research Institute's research study, The 2019 State of Artificial Intelligence in Talent Acquisition, conducted earlier this year.


    The survey studied the current status of talent acquisition, today’s usage and understanding of AI in recruitment, possible barriers and drawbacks to using AI in recruitment, and how AI is affecting and will affect major areas of recruitment.

    Featured on the cover this month is Evan Theys' How To Avoid The Pitfalls Of AI that talks about how companies can navigate using AI in recruitment successfully.

    Tom Haak's article, How AI Can Help To Decrease Bias In Sourcing And Selection, is about how the combination of sound judgment of people in combination with AI can improve people management a lot.
