    Job Growth in May: Las Vegas tops the list

    We were interested to see which city had the greatest growth in online job postings over the past year. We looked at all metropolitan areas that had at least 10,000 jobs available online during the month of May 2014 compared to May 2013 to see where the largest percentage increase was. It turns out, Las Vegas, Nevada led the US in job growth during May, according to WANTED Analytics. There were 110,000 jobs posted directly by employers in this metro area, which is a 64.9% year-over-year increase in hiring demand. Below, we look more in-depth at the companies and jobs that are most in-demand of talent.

    Recruiting Manpower’s Hard-to-Fill Jobs: Tips to find the best talent

    The Manpower Group recently announced that the global talent shortage has reached a 7-year high. Their 9th Annual Talent Shortage Survey results show that 36% of global employers are having difficulty finding candidates that possess the desired technical competencies and experience with soft skills. The percentage of employers citing difficulty in the US is 40%. Manpower’s CEO, Jonas Prising, said, «For nearly a decade skilled trades and STEM positions are among the top 10 hardest jobs to fill, both globally and in the US.»
