    How And Why Companies Should Implement AI

    AI is finally going mainstream; any late adopters will soon be left behind

    Artificial intelligence’s (AI) barrier to entry never towered as high as the world expected. Despite years of hesitancy, it only took a few key innovators to weave AI into their infrastructures, systems, and processes to change industry benchmarks forever.



    Accelerated by the pandemic, AI is finally going mainstream — and any late adopters will soon be left behind.

    This is especially true in HR, where AI has helped ease the hiring process and diversify the talent pipeline. As of 2019, 50% of HR workers are using some form of AI in their job — a significant jump from 32% in 2018. As the number of companies implementing AI into their workforces rises, HR teams must prioritize finding out how and where intelligent tech will most benefit workers.

    In 2019, two-thirds of companies reported revenue increases directly related to their AI. In HR, the same report found AI implementation led to large cost decreases. Company executives and HR teams can lead by example, using AI to create a tech-conducive environment. They can encourage broad organizational buy-in to AI through training programs, new data sets, and roadmaps detailing AI’s abilities.

    AI at the Core of Business

    AI must be seen as a necessary element for future business, which means it needs high employee buy-in. A large majority of users must embrace AI so its insights aren't skewed — and goals are set and made clear accordingly.

    Many companies make the mistake of isolating their AI, providing it with little to no data. But AI needs as much data as possible to operate at peak performance. The more a team interacts with AI and treats it as an essential part of the force, the more AI can do for a company.

    AI helps companies and candidates find the right fit, faster. Candidates, employees, recruiters and hiring managers interact with billions of touchpoints across the front and back ends of the platform, providing the data that create a better, and holistic experience.

    Enterprises should allow AI to blend into the background, but operate as an essential resource. The more expansive it is, the better it can support your goals.

    How AI Achieves its Potential

    Despite what AI skeptics might think, this technology is intuitive to use and has great potential to make a difference.

    Once organizations implement AI, strong management and consistent feedback loops ensure potential issues are addressed. AI is not necessarily self-sufficient, nor will it instantly solve every problem on its own. Teams that are knowledgeable and experienced with AI will help to properly manage it while providing the right tools for growth and success.

    Treating AI as a necessity — and a truly valuable assistant to the team — provides immediate advantages over businesses that don’t use it. AI can make any company more efficient with its general automation of tasks, conversational functionality, and data analysis capabilities. In fact, because AI streamlines so many tasks and initiatives, there are more opportunities for human-to-human interactions when they matter most.

    AI Optimizes Efficiency

    AI’s false stereotype as a job replacer is finally fading due as it personalizes moments and drives efficiency. HR professionals, for example, are more important than ever, but traditional processes leave them overwhelmed with administrative tasks that take too much time. AI replaces lost time and equips recruiters and hiring managers with personalized insights, so they can have more memorable interactions with a greater number of job seekers.

    These experiences better inform both the company and candidate about whether there is a particularly strong fit based on skills, culture and career growth opportunities. As organizations continue to hire the right candidates, AI uses team-driven feedback loops to continuously evolve at pace with talent goals. Over time, this greatly improves companies’ margins.

    AI’s barrier to entry is getting lower by the day. With the right data and team to stand behind it, AI can automate tasks, reinvent the hiring process and seamlessly integrate itself into every aspect of an organization. Companies and innovators willing to give AI a chance now will stay ahead of the curve.
