Small talk – when most people hear that phrase, it conjures thoughts of standing awkwardly at a party while trying to make conversation with strangers. Or, what you do during a discussion to avoid politics, religion or other sensitive topics
For older generations, work was nearly exclusively transactional: “Do what I ask of you, and you will get paid.” However, the workforce is changing, and the current generation wants—and expects—more transparency and fulfillment from their jobs than ever before.
