We have entered 2021 and we are really hoping for great things to come around this year. Although no one is sure when the pandemic will end or when we will be able to travel freely around, it is important to enjoy every moment, as we navigate through the difficult times.
Sometimes work seems like, well, it’s work. It’s not the fun, fulfilling, or rewarding kind of work that we look forward to tackling but the life-sucking, drudgery kind of work.
As we set out on the great adventure called 2021, many of us have lots of questions about what the year will bring. When will the pandemic end? Will I be able to return to my job, or will I have to reinvent myself?
Whether we’re leaders or not, most of us have some less-than-ideal traits and habits. Maybe we steamroll over others. Or we intimidate them with angry outbursts. Or we gossip. Or show off. Or get defensive when someone questions us.
There is no question that self-efficacy, the inner belief in yourself, is necessary to achieve sustained excellence in your field. We know this, not because of all the research conducted in the space, but because we have experienced that feeling.
