    Obesity: Can it be considered a disability?

    As we closed the doors to 2014, the European Court of Justice ruled that the effects of obesity can now constitute a disability. Under such legislation, a person is deemed disabled if he or she has a physical or mental impairment which holds an adverse effect on their ability to carry out any duties or requirements.     New York Wage Board: $7.50 hourly wage for tipped workers recommended

    Under a proposal recommended by the state’s Wage Board on January 30, 2015, the minimum hourly wage of tipped workers in New York State, including restaurant servers and hospitality workers, has been increased to $7.50 per hour before tips.
