    Protecting Caregivers: New York City expands law

    The New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL) forbids employment discrimination on the basis of a number of protected characteristics, such as age, race, creed, color, national origin, gender (including gender identity and sexual harassment), disability, marital status, partnership status, sexual orientation, alienage, and citizenship status. The NYCHRL applies to employers with four or more employees.

    Snooping On Employees Private Emails: What the rule says?

    In a landmark case the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) have deemed that employers can read employees’ private messages whilst they are work.     Exempt Employee Salary: What you need to know

    Question: Do we need to be aware of state exemption salary basis rules? Isn’t the federal weekly salary basis of $455 required for all states?
    Answer: Not necessarily. Currently two states require a higher salary threshold for white-collar exemptions: California and New York.
