Although we live in a modern and advanced world, when it comes to gender equality, we still have a long way to go. The “glass ceiling” is still an obstruction preventing women from reaching the top positions. How many women are leaders in our organization now? How can we substantially increase gender diversity in the leadership ranks?

To better understand the degree to which organizations are employing women in leadership positions, HR.com’s HR Research Institute conducted an extensive study of HR professionals and produced a full report of insightful findings, The State Of Women In Leadership 2020. Read the summary of the report in this issue of the magazine along with informative articles that focus on women leadership.

Lori McNeill’s The Right Approach To Increase Women In Leadership is a great article that talks about why it is important for women to reconsider their approach by making men partners in initiatives, positioning the discussion to take into account perspectives for all stakeholders, and basing arguments on data.  Pauline Farris’ article, 11 Reasons You Should Work At Women-Led Companies explains why having females in senior roles will solve many problems in the world of gender discrimination. Feminism In The Time Of Coronavirus by Hira Siddiqui is another informative article that points out the importance of collective responsibility to ensure that the post-pandemic world is more equal and fairer to those who suffered more from this pandemic than others.

Also read interviews with two women leaders, Kristy McCann Flynn (CEO and Founder, GoCoach) and Heather Kernahan (CEO of North America at Hotwire) on how coronavirus has affected their business and workforce, and how they are facing the challenges.

Apart from these articles, there are a few other informative articles in this issue that explores the importance of women in leadership. We hope you enjoy reading the articles and look forward to receiving your feedback.

Last but not least, we believe that there is no better way to connect with people than by sharing your leadership story. If you have one, send it to us.

    Happy Reading!
