The short answer to this question is that an FIDU audit is a review from a fiduciary perspective of the breaches, shortfalls, and best practices of the governance and oversight of a plan sponsor’s qualified retirement plan. However, a more in-depth discussion is warranted since every plan sponsor is a candidate for an FIDU plan audit.
