Hiring in the healthcare sector is growing, according to a report this March from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). In this report, healthcare accounted for a total of 363,000 new jobs in the past year. This marks healthcare as one of the most notable sectors for growth in an economy with an unemployment rate hovering at just 5.5 percent. In fact, an analysis of the BLS data by Healthcare Finance News highlighted a 65% healthcare employment growth in 2014 compared to the previous year, making it the best year for new jobs in the sector since 2008.
