US - background checks - legal duty
    08-22-2019 / 6:32 am    #1

    Hi all,

I am managing HR for an office in the US whilst working at the company's HQ in England.

Does anyone know all of the legal duties an organisation must adhere to to remain compliant with US law when conducting background checks?
E.g. is it a legal requirement to verify social security numbers?

    Thank you in advance,
    Vicki
