Quarterly Review Process?

Hello Community,
My organization is contemplating going to a quarterly performance review process. We are running into some challenges with regards to the actual design of the system. I was wondering if there is anyone here who has implemented a quarterly performance review process and wouldn't mind a short conversation on what your system looks like and challenges you encountered during implementation.
