Don't you wish that could be it...a simple interview and you have a new employee. To hire someone, and do it the correct and legal way, takes time, specialized knowledge, and resources. The solution is to outsource to a professional, such as a licensed private investigator who is a consumer reporting agency. Forget the TV myths about private investigators, we are not shady folks lurking in shadows wearing a trench coat. In reality, licensed private investigators are required to follow the laws of their state or risk loosing their license. Consider these facts:I. A licensed private investigator has access to PRIVATE databases that are FCRA and DPPA approved which is required by law.2. A nationwide criminal check is part of the screening process. A private investigator knows how to search civil records ( you do not want to hire a person with a restraining order or other non criminal violent behavior)3. A verification of the personal information on the application must be completed. It is estimated that at least 33% of all applicants omit information or put false information on the application.4.Time must be spent contacting past or current employers, education institutions, military, and references. This is the investigator's job, let him/her do what he/she does best so you can do what you do best...run and grow your business,5. Your private investigator has all of the necessary FCRA, DPPA, and HIPPA release forms for your protection and that of the applicant.6. At the completion of the screening, you should get a concise report so you can make an informed hiring decision.Because private investigators have access to nationwide private databases, you are free to select anyone anywhere. Some states (like Florida) are stricter than others regarding the private investigation profession. Do your "Google-work" to find the private investigator for you and your business. Please visit our web site at http://www.goldshieldli.com for a list of our services and searches. |
