Charging a deductible to employees involved in an at-fault motor vehicle accident

We are considering charging employees who are involved in an at-fault motor vehicle accident in a company vehicle a deductible, based on the amount of damage to the vehicle.  Employees would sign a document agreeing to this before they drove a company vehicle, and the deductible would be taken from their pay in installments.

Does anyone do this currently?  What issues do you see with this practice?
