If you understand your emotions and how to manage them, you will be more effective in expressing your feelings at workplace..Many companies now view emotional intelligence as being as important as technical ability.Emotional intelligence in the workplace is one of a number of soft skills that make employees better at their jobs..So you can ask Why Emotional Intelligence? Let us park this question and take the conventional route. When we talk about performance in general, what do we measure? Cognition, Awareness, Decision Making, and a lot more other traits. Most of us still focus on IQ in the first place. However, we are not aware that these traits are the source of our emotions that help drive our IQ and this all combined builds that force within us that up scales and levels up the key performance indicators. |

Organisational culture defines the way employees complete tasks and interact with each other in an organisation. The cultural paradigm comprises various beliefs, values, rituals and symbols that govern the operating style of the people within a company. Corporate culture binds the workforce together and provides a direction for the company. In times of change, the biggest challenge for any organisation may be to change its culture, as the employees are already accustomed to a certain way of doing things. Organisations must structure their recruitment processes to attract and engage incumbents with the same beliefs and values that constitute the organisation’s culture. This ensures the new employee’s assimilation to the company and further strengthens corporate culture. Companies should also ensure that they align corporate culture with performance management systems. When culture and management systems are not aligned, management must redirect them so that employee behaviour results in the achievement of organisational goals. |

Changing the culture of performance management is a transformative process aimed at redefining how organizations assess, develop, and motivate their employees. This shift involves moving away from traditional, annual performance reviews toward more agile, continuous feedback and development-oriented approaches. It focuses on fostering a culture of ongoing communication, collaboration, and growth between managers and employees. By implementing changes in performance management culture, organizations can enhance employee engagement, improve accountability, and drive overall organizational success. |
