If an employee asks for either can I, as an employer hand them out? If not, can employees even bring/use or give to another employee?

I know in the schools in Washington they cannot pass out anything that the child has not brought with him or supplied to the schools.

However, I have never heard that supplying non-prescription drugs to employees can get an employer into trouble. We have them in our first aid kit in case someone gets injured and needs pain medication.
