Dental Insurance Mistake - (On Company's part)
    09-28-2016 / 3:28 pm    #1

Hi, After my three months was up for working with my current company I enrolled in Dental Insurance. This was September of 2015. In the begining of this August I actually tried using my dental for the first time. I was told I didn't have dental insurance. I talked to my companies HR and she contacted our insurance broker and they told her that I am not enrolled and the company has never been charged for me. Then the HR lady looked at past bills and I was never in the bill as each employees name is stated. She admitted she never looked at the bill. She just paid it - Meanwhile she was charging me from the paperwork I submitted to her. (Apparently Delta Dental didnt enroll me because they had a question on my paperwork, they said they contacted her and she claims they didnt.) This leaves the company to owe me about $600.00 from the past year of mistakingly charging me. It has been over a month since the company was aware of the situation. I am on my third-two week pay period and have not received the check. I have Asked, E-mailed and Texted about it and was told the company is working on it and didnt forget me. (My company consist of under 50 employees) Can anyone please tell me if a company can wait this long to fix their mistake? Are they required to pay me fees for not giving me the check in 72 hours? Thank you for your help!
