    Re:Performance Evaluations

    >We are currently redesigning our performance evaluation program. We are trying to devise an evaluation that uses only performance indicators that can be measured. We have come up with some job specific measurables for some jobs but are having difficulty with others. How do you measure customer service? Dependability? Good judgment? Teamwork? We have decided on a three tier rating system: Exceeds, Meets, Does Not Meet.
    >Any help anyone can give us would be greatly appreciated. We have been working on this project since March!

    Hello,
In order to achieve this many organizations are moving to the use of behavioral indicators or competencies. This allows levels of performance to be more clearly defined. I completed a Reality HR Interview with Jennifer Preston, HR Director for Fairview Range Regional Health Service on this topic that you may find helpful.

    Sincerely,
