    >We are looking at possibly changing/eliminating the performance appraisal process we use for union employees. Currently we have annual PAs which are NOT tied to any performance goals or compensation. We are interested in seeing what other companies use, if anything, in this situation.

    Hello,
I can think of two Reality HR Interviews which may be of particular interest to you. The first, entitled: Reality HR with Nancy Dickson, Corporate Learning & Performance Consultant for BC Pension Corporation on the topic of performance management process design and implementation. In this interview, Ms. Dickson discusses performance management processes which have been used in a unionized environment. Another that may also be of direct relevance is: Reality HR: Hank Jonas, Manager of Organization Effectiveness, Corning Incorporated - in this interview, Mr. Jonas addresses the issue of linking performance appraisals and compensation.
    Sincerely,
    Aileen MacMillan
