OpenAI has now made its image generator available to free users, so I thought I'd show how it might be used to get our press releases better seen on social media. So, what I did was paste in one of our press releases (thanks for all your work on these, Heather!) and prompted it as follows: "Please create an image that is appropriate for this press release:"
It produced this:
Which is pretty nice if you wanted to send it out as an image in social media along with a link to the full report or original PR.
But what if you wanted a graphic image to put on the press release page?
My next prompt was:
"Please create an image that is appropriate for this press release. The image should not contain any prose. Rather, the image should complement the subject matter."
Here's what I got:
Notice that it does have a tiny bit of prose, so it did not follow my prompt to the letter, but still produced something pretty good.
Okay, that's it. The bottom line is that these tools can make virtually anything we produce more visually appealing, which is pretty key to the whole branding game circa 2025.
